Buying a scuba diving mask for the first time is exciting but can be overwhelming with so many options. Of course it should fit you well, however here’s a few other things to consider:
When choosing your mask, low volume is king. Why? It allows better access to the nose pocket, making equalising easier. Plus, it packs lighter while still providing an excellent field of vision as the lenses sit closer to your eyes.
Lastly, if you have an imperfect vision then do check out our range of masks with prescription lenses, it’ll make such a positive difference for your underwater experience. After all, the underwater scenery is exactly the reason why you are diving.
We hope it helps you in deciding which mask is best for you. If you have any questions, send us a quick message, we’re happy to help.
Maintenance Tip:
Before taking your new mask out for a dive, make sure to clear the silicone factory seal from the lens of your spearfishing mask, otherwise the mask will always fog up, no matter how much defog solution or spit you rub into it. To remove the silicone, use a buffer or toothpaste to remove the silicone. Rub it into the lens, let it set for a few minutes, then rinse it off. Repeat twice and you’re all set.
